Earth Leakage Relay & CBCT

Earth leakage relay:
Earth leakage relay are used to protect electrical system from fire and other electrical hazards. The unit consists of two parts: Basic relay & core balance current transformer (CBCT) CBCT is a used to sense the leakage current of the electrical System. The secondary of the CBCT is wired to the basic relay If earth leakage current exceeds than the set value, the electromagnetic relay is energized which can be used for tripping MCCB / OCB / ACB or any other device.
